Leah Baker ReNu Creative Backpacking

I created ReNu after years of working directly alongside a small business owner as the company's "Swiss Army Knife." (Their title, which I graciously accepted.)

I saw the need for the owner's focus to stay locked on the business and to delegate the creative side. 

​

If the artsy stuff is your thing too, all power to you! I love a multi-passionate entrepreneur. 

​

But for many, it's just not the case- and that's where I come in. 

​

I enjoy- dare I say love- creating; since I was a kid, I always had some sort of new artistic hobby I was learning every other month.

 

While being so interested in everything was frustrating trying choose a single career, landing in the position at my first job, being a Swiss Army Knife, taught me that my versatility was an asset most small businesses can really benefit from.

And so, here we are.

I hope my versatility and creativity can benefit you and your company or brand in one way or another.

PS..I love all things outdoors, food, football, & travel. I went to Ohio State, but I'm from a super small town in Northwest Ohio. I lift & climb, I make all my friends come backpacking with me, and I'll be living abroad in France in 2024. 

 

Clearly...I make it a habit to be interested in too many things in and outside of my career. ;)

Our philosophy + Values

Simplicity

People are overwhelmed and overstimulated. And in a world where people are already stressed out, clarity is king. If your brand and marketing is simple, clear, and strategic, you'll connect much more easily and effectively with your customers; communicate well and convert to sales.

Personality

Your business has a personality that I believe can be leveraged to gain the trust and loyalty of your customers. Marketing is more than just proposing your services + goods, but selling people through knowing, liking, and trusting the company providing them. Letting personality shine through is a fantastic way to make this happen.

Creativity

Keeping your marketing simple doesn't mean you can't be creative; the two are anything but mutually exclusive. Getting creative with both strategy and the execution of that strategy can lead to eye-catching, engaging work that works. Striking harmony between the two is a magical combination.  

Accessibility

Accessibility is a key factor in design that is unfortunately overlooked all too often. If your content is fantastic but inaccessible, how great the content is, at the end of the day, doesn't matter. From text size to color contrast to user-experience, accessibility is a responsibility we all share.

Quality

I'm a sucker for the details. Pulling all the brainstorms, the ideas, the visuals, and concepts into cohesive deliverables makes me the happiest camper in the midwest. The creative process for anything can look messy in the middle of it; but the final project being high quality and well-executed is a non-negotiable with me.

Adaptability

There is no one-size-fits-all formula for every single business or campaign out there- and often, the best solutions come as the result of both solid strategy and practical experiments. This is why adaptability is at the core of what we do; we try new things, we adjust, .and we adapt until we get the results we're looking for.
